A little about myself
Hey guys. My name is Kameron Kimberly. I'm 19 years old, and I've been living in Orlando for around 17 years now. I was born on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on June 27th 1989. I can't exactly say what my major is going to be yet; hopefully it will manifest itself as I work toward my A.A. in General Studies.
English has always been one of my strongest subjects. Math class, now THAT one I failed with flying colors a couple times, but English always went a little better with me. I also love reading. I usually have 2 or 3 books that I'm in the middle of at any given time. I was actually pretty excited when Professor Tweed told us it was more of a writing class than anything else; I used to do a lot of writing in high school. Little stories, songs, poems, that sort of thing.
I would have to say that my favorite kinds of writing, or rather my favorite types of books and such, is either science fiction of fantasy. My imagination is very active , shall we say, so writing in the fantasy style comes a little easier for me. Science fiction on the other hand is a little more difficult, in my opinion. I'm also decent at essay writing, particularly argumentative ones where I'm trying to prove a point.
I'm not exactly sure who has much of an effect on my writing. I would probably have to say myself. Sometimes when I write, I let a little more of my personality that is probably wise into my essays. It kind of makes the things I write seem less professional. ( I should probably work on that). My favorite author is Orson Scott Card, the author of Ender's Game and the series that follows, so I suppose he has had an effect on my writing abilities as well.
In conclusion, I'm very excited about this course and I can't wait to get started. I look forward to succeeding in class and making new friends, and of course bettering myself as a student. Personally, I'm going to give this class my all and do my very best to make sure I get a passing grade. After all... this class was expensive!
